INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLING
What is Integrative Counselling? It is a form of psychological or talking therapy that offers people a chance to change how they feel and can enable them to lead a more fulfilled life.
What happens during a Integrative Counselling session?Counselling provides a regular time and space for people to talk about their troubles and gives them the opportunity to explore difficult feelings in an environment that is safe, free from intrusion and confidential.
What can Integrative Counselling do for me?A counsellor will respect what you have to say, be empathic, honest ,open, genuine and be non-judgmental, this may help you deal with specific problems, improve your relationships, give you coping skills in order to work through a crisis and develop a better way of living.
Counsellors as a rule do not give advice they are there instead to help you gain an insight into your feelings and behaviour and how to change your behavior if necessary. They do this by listening to you and reflecting back what you say and sometimes clarify with you about what you have said to make sure they have understood your perspective on the issue concerned. A counsellor as a trained professional can guide you through your different concerns and enable you to see life from a different more positive perspective.
How often do I need to have Integrative Counselling?Counselling sessions take place once a week generally on the same day and at the same time this can be short or long term face-to-face counselling.
